Seniority mistake in collective agreement being fixed

Incorrect seniority dates were assigned to some AUPE members at Covenant Care St. Thomas and Buffalo Grace Manor.
AUPE and the employer have now addressed this with a Letter of Understanding (LOU), which is attached to this bargaining update.
It has been agreed that seniority for all affected employees will be recalculated and applied by July 15, 2025.
The union and employer will review any job posting, layoff or other decisions where seniority was a factor.
AUPE has also agreed not to file grievances related to job postings or awarded positions prior to the signing of the LOU.
