Make a difference; join an AUPE standing committee

Whether you are a long-time union activist or just taking your first steps toward activism—AUPE’s standing committees are a great way to get involved and make a difference.

AUPE’s standing committees work on a wide range of important issues. They influence everything from mentoring young activists to advocating for occupational health and safety to advising on issues relating to AUPE’s Constitution. Standing committees play a vital role in AUPE, and they need dedicated members like you.

Applications for AUPE’s 13 standing committees are open from Sept. 1 to Nov. 1, 2025.

Successful applicants will serve a two-year term on their respective standing committee. Standing committee members are chosen by AUPE’s Executive Committee. Selected members will receive a written confirmation no later than Jan. 1, 2026.
