AHS NC: Clarification regarding mediation dates

You may hear in the media that bargaining dates have been set for Nov. 28, Dec. 4, 5 and 17. Your negotiating team would like to clarify that these dates are only on hold with the mediator following the Labour Relation Board’s directive. 

They are optional meeting dates and will only proceed if AUPE, AHS and the mediator agree they are necessary. 

In the event we take job action, we would expect that the parties would meet as early as Nov. 28 to work on a deal.

We have tentatively agreed to meet this weekend if the employers have an improved offer for us to consider.  

It remains our goal to reach a collective agreement, and we look forward to receiving that offer.
