University of Calgary Update #12: Please attend important town-hall meeting

AUPE members at the University of Calgary are urged to attend an important bargaining town-hall meeting on Monday, Dec. 1, to discuss monetary proposals from your negotiating team and the employer.

You can attend in person or join the meeting online.

• TIME: Noon - 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 1.
• LOCATION: MacEwan Student Centre, third floor, Ballroom, University of Calgary.

Light refreshments will be served at the meeting.

Members attending the meeting in person will be able to ask questions.  

Online attendees can email questions during the meeting to Secretarylocal052@aupe.ca.

Liane Lawford and Elaine Pauls, who work in AUPE’s essential-services department, will give a report on progress being made in negotiating an Essential Services Agreement (ESA).

Once the ESA is in place, we will be able to trigger formal mediation in an attempt to get a new collective-bargaining agreement.
