Seasons Retirement Communities Camrose: Bargaining continues after long pause

Bargaining update for Local 047 Chapter 009, Seasons Retirement Communities Camrose

Nov 24, 2025

Text only block

Your negotiating team met the employer on November 11 and 12 to continue bargaining. It was the first time we met since August 2024.

We made quick progress over the two days. We had agreed to several Articles when we last met and finalized those. We signed off seven Articles without any changes and signed off seventeen more with necessary updates.

We questioned the employer’s response to our ingoing proposal from when we last met. We heard the responses to those questions and updated our proposal. Changes mostly addressed wages and benefits. We chose to focus on key priority areas. We presented the updated counterproposal on the morning of the second day.

The employer’s offer did not meet our needs. We know we deserve better including wages that keep up with the skyrocketing cost of living. We are preparing yet another counterproposal to their insufficient offer. We plan to meet again in the new year to continue negotiations. We will keep you updated as we progress.

Please reach out to a member of your negotiating team with any questions or concerns.
