SAIT: We win wage increases for Peace Officers

Your negotiating team is pleased to announce a significant market adjustment for all Peace Officers. We knew that our Peace Officer members were being paid well below market rates and the issue needed to be addressed.  

On July 14, we signed a Letter of Understanding (LOU) with the employer increasing maximum wages for Peace Officers. The LOU adds three additional steps to the wage grid, including:

• Step 9 at $39.49
• Step 10 at $40.76
• Step 11 at $42.08

Progression through the steps continues to follow the current rules.

All Peace Officers currently at Step 8 as of the date of signing this Letter of Understanding shall move to Step 9 ($39.49/hour) effective that same date.
