Attention AUPE members: Your union dues will be going up

All AUPE members will see increases to their union dues in January.

Members attending AUPE’s annual Convention in October voted to increase dues by 0.25% to 1.5% of their salary from the previous rate of 1.25%.

This increase was proposed to ensure our union has the resources it needs to succeed, including a robust defence fund for strike pay.

As we have seen at some of our bigger bargaining tables this year, taking strike votes and being prepared to hit the streets has been an important and effective tool in the bargaining process.

All decisions made at Convention are made by members elected to their roles by their colleagues.
