AHS NC: New wage proposal, same old AHS

We met with the employer on September 25 for bargaining.

AHS gave us a new set of proposals, including a new wage offer. They proposed a four-year deal with 3%, 3%, 2%, and 2% wage adjustments. AHS proposed only a handful of minor changes otherwise.  

Needless to say, your team was disappointed. We will continue to demand a serious offer with the raises we deserve.  

We are also confident that mediation will help us get a better deal. We expect movement on other priority issues, including benefits, scheduling improvements, travel expenses for community staff, and recognition of our scope of practice concerns.

Bargaining will continue with the assistance of our mediator.

Mediation

Your team has scheduled fall bargaining meetings with AHS and our mediator.

We will meet on October 3, 9, and 10, as well as November 6 and 7 if necessary.
