AHS GSS: Your team wants an ESA and AHS back at the table

Your negotiating team invited AHS back to the bargaining table, even though AHS wanted to wait until we finished the Essential Services Agreement (ESA) and move on to formal mediation. 

While we finalize the ESA, your team wants to continue negotiations. Moving on to formal mediation should be an option only if absolutely necessary.

Your team wants to reach a deal at the table. That should be AHS’s priority as well.

We should be able to get things done without a mediator. To bargain in good faith is the right thing to do. Your team is waiting for the employer’s response.

Essential Services Agreement update

ESA teams for AHS and AUPE met with an Umpire on May 30 to discuss scheduling and other concerns. We are negotiating a Letter of Understanding and will meet again on June 12.

AUPE is cautiously optimistic that, with help from the Umpire, we are making progress on the ESA.
