AgeCare Seton: We're ready to fight for the improvements we deserve

Your negotiating team met the employer on July 2 to begin bargaining. We started by exchanging our first proposals not related to wages and benefits.

Right out of the gate, the employer tabled proposals that attack our rights, undermined our position, and tried to weaken our power as unionized workers. It’s clear that we’ll have to fight for what we deserve.

The employer denied that there are workload issues. They went as far as to blame us, claiming we arrived late for our shifts. We know there are workload issues – we struggle with them every day, and we want them addressed. We know that we are not to blame.

Your negotiating team is ready to stand up and demand the improved working conditions we deserve.  

Negotiations continue July 21 and 22.
