AUPE members at Aspen Ridge Lodge: Take this important bargaining survey

AUPE would like to extend a warm welcome to our newest members from Aspen Ridge Lodge!

Bethany Care Society is well represented at AUPE. Your negotiating team’s first decision was to join with the 10 other Bethany Care Society groups to bargain together.

This collaboration strengthens our solidarity and will ensure a united front in this round of bargaining. Together, we will work to achieve substantial gains at the bargaining table.

In the future, you’ll receive regular bargaining updates that will be shared with all 11 units.

The next step is for you to take an important bargaining survey.

Inflation has hit us all hard. How much should our wages be increased so you can afford to feed, clothe and shelter our families?

Is the workplace safe or should there be safe staffing-to-patient ratios to protect us and residents?

Do you want to see better benefits and mental-health supports?

Your negotiating team want to make significant improvements at the bargaining table, improvements that reflect the importance of the work we all do. To be effective, it is important that we receive feedback and suggestions from as many members as possible.

That’s why it’s vital that you answer these and other questions. Please check your email today for the bargaining survey we just sent you.

If you did not receive an email with the survey, please contact a member of your negotiating team.

The deadline to complete the survey is July 16.

This will be a challenging round of bargaining and we will all need to support each other to win the collective agreement we deserve.

There will be many opportunities to show your support for your negotiating team. Your continuing involvement and solidarity are crucial in getting a collective agreement that works for us.
