Venta Care Nursing Care: Bargaining begins 

Your negotiating team met the employer on May 13 to begin bargaining. Our first step was to exchange proposals for all items not related to wages and benefits.  

Your team is committed to improving and modernizing our collective agreement to better meet our needs. Our proposal includes improving the RRSP payment process, improving selection criteria for internal job applications, improving the probationary period process, and improving Occupational Health and Safety language.  

The employer’s only two proposals were to include one piece of new language in the collective agreement on sick leave accrual for part-time employees and changes to the RRSP payment process.  

Wear red on June 17

Negotiations will continue June 17. Wear red that day to show your solidarity as we fight for the working conditions we deserve! It shows our employer that we are united in demanding an improved collective agreement.
