Ramping up efforts to complete Essential Service Agreement as negotiations stall

Bargaining update for Local 047 Chapter 002, Bethany Nursing Home of Camrose - Rosehaven and LTC

Your negotiating team continues to make efforts to invite the employer back to the bargaining table to come to an agreement. We have put a revised proposal forward in hopes of bringing us closer to getting to a deal at the table.

The employer said they would consider our new proposal once they received it. But it is disappointing that once they received and reviewed it, they decided not to return to the bargaining table.

Meanwhile, your negotiating team is working towards getting an Essential Service Agreement in place because if we remain at an impasse, we cannot move forward with mediation until the ESA is completed and filed with the Commissioner.

We want to thank members for your patience and support. Your participation at this crucial stage in bargaining is vital, so stay tuned for further information as we move through the process.

One step you can take right now is to make sure you have a MyAUPE account. This is how you get important updates, vote, and receive strike pay. Sign up today by visiting, aupe.org/myaupe

Please contact your negotiating team if you have any questions or concerns.
