AUPE Environmental Committee Eco-Star Award 2025 Nominations Open

The AUPE Environmental Committee is calling for nominations for this year’s Eco-Star Award. This is your opportunity to honour a fellow AUPE member who has led or contributed to environmental initiatives in their workplace or their communities.

Deadline for nominations is August 15, 2025.

When nominating a member please consider the following:

• Did the member introduce or champion environmental initiatives in their worksites, their communities or at various levels of government or non-governmental agencies?
• Was this an educational initiative?
• Are these issues and/or campaigns with a high level of environmental recognition and/or exposure?
• Did the nominee’s actions directly affect AUPE members and their worksites?
• Does this involve environmental campaigns that have the greatest impact for AUPE members (to educate, activate, or significantly reduce carbon footprint, or greatly increase reduce/reuse/recycle)?

Nominations will be reviewed by the AUPE Environmental Committee. The winner will be notified once a selection is made.
